It’s about that time of year, when we’ve rolled the first meters with our prototype robot at the Science NO Fiction festival last year. That prototype became the Design Award winner at the RoboCup WorldCup 2016 in Leipzig.
We’re already preparing for this two day event, and we’ll efficiently use our time together to work on our 2017 prototype already.
Of course you can meet with the 2016 competition robot and we will talk about the competitions we’ve been to, and we’re going to.

We had a real great evening at this year’s Researchers’ Night. It was a fantastic experience to meet hundreds of zealous youngsters from preschoolers to university students. Ericsson Hungary has invited countless number of interesting exhibitors and there were so many visitors that sometimes the carbon-dioxide sensor on our robot showed us a serious increase in the concentration…

If it’s end of September then it is European Researchers’ Night! This year we will demo at Ericsson Hungary’s venue.
There was a special occasion at the Drónverseny és Robotika Show this Saturday: this was the first time we presented to the public our robot that won several awards at the 2016 RoboCup world championship. Young and old both gathered around our stand to watch our robot in move for the whole day – except when it was part of our presentation on the main stage, had to show up at a press conference or when the guys prepared it in our pit-stop.
As you may see in the picture, we are preparing hard for the Drónverseny és Robotika Show this Saturday. To make the show even more spectacular we are building a complete small obstacle course (here yet still under construction):
It is our great pleasure to have the opportunity to share yet another invitation with you: on 10th of September we will exhibit at the “Drónverseny és Robotika Show” (Drone Race and Robotics Show) hosted by Drone Prix Hungary.
The whole day event welcomes everyone interested in drones and robotics with exciting programs: besides organizing the championship final for national drone race competition in one of the largest indoor racetrack of the world there will also be exciting presentations and shows. We also hold a presentation, once we know the exact schedule, we will let you know.

2016 has become a very successful year for us not just because Team ResCube have represented Hungary for the first time at the RoboCup World Championship 2016 between June 28 and July 4 but also we have gained professional experience and received superb prizes and awards.
The Flower Robotics as one of the key sponsors of RoboCup World Championship 2016 selected our robot among all (around 500!) robots of all teams as the best design. This is like a constructor award, and our robot was evaluated by a large committee based on the submitted documentation, on personal interviews and on examination of the real robot. They have emphasized that our key strengths were: approaching problems with creativity, designing a custom, versatile robot from scratch without using any templates. Last but not least, our team’s open and challenge seeking attitude were also important factors for the nomination.
